CHRISTMAS is a good time to visit the ARDEAL (in Latin, Transylvania); in the cities like ORADEA, CLUJ-NAPOCA, SIBIU, BRAȘOV - there are all sorts of concerts, shows, parties etc. you could go to, while in rural areas you'll get to take a look at traditional Christmas customs.
   BRAN CASTLE (built in the 14th century) situated in the immediate vicinity of the city BRAȘOV, is probably the most famous fortress from this region of ROMANIA, because VLAD DRACULA himself is reputed to have stayed over for a few nights.
   Commonly known as ,,DRACULA's CASTLE" (although it is one among several locations linked to the Dracula legend, including Poenari Castle and Hunyad Castle), it is often erroneously referred to as the home of the title character in BRAM STOKER's DRACULA.
