Ichiro Tsuruta Female Prints

(0 votes)

ICHIRO TSURUTA is a Japanese artist born in 1954 in Kumamoto prefecture. He graduated as a graphic designer. The idealized portraits of women usually dressed in elegant kimonos and hair ornaments are not paintings, which he performs are prints engraved by woodcut. Interested in the concept of beauty in Japanese tradition and Buddhist art. The Japanese women he created are the result of the perfect union between European Art Deco and Japanese sensibility.
From the inner sense of beauty of ICHIRO are born their illustrations of women or muses (as he calls them), where beauty, elegance and eroticism meet and interlace.
