(3 votes)

The museum - the former house of the landlord ALEXANDRU BELLU - houses a mixed heritage of plastic and decorative art, ethnography (ceramics, fabrics, tools, Romanian carpets from the 19th century), rare books in luxury editions, paintings from the 19th century, earthenware, style furniture from various eras, oriental and far-eastern art (Japanese vessels and stamps, copper vessels, furniture), icons and weapons from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The exhibited furniture belonged almost entirely to the BELLU family. Also from the BELLU collection are the paintings: Portrait of a man by PAVEL DINCOVICI, Peasant by EUGEN MAXIMOVICI (1857-1926), Old beggar by THEODOR AMAN, icons, chandeliers, candlesticks, oriental vases, bronze Venus de Milo statuette - copy, one head clay child, a lead satyr's head, an apothecary box, as well as valuable lithographs made by CAROL POPP de SZATHMÁRY in the mid-19th century.
Some architectural elements are remarkable such as: columns and capitals, door frames and windows carved in stone from the 17th and 18th centuries, built in the old Romanian architectural style, in the middle of the 19th century.
