Acad. Prof. Dr. Honoris Causa Ion Irimescu (1903 – 2005) was one of Romania's greatest sculptors and sketchers as well as a Member of the Romanian Academy. His works have been exhibited around the world. In addition to the work the artist donated to his home town, many of his works are present in the great museums of the country
