BRAN CASTLE (Romanian: Castelul Bran) is a medieval fortress located in ROMANIA, which enjoys great tourist attraction due to the popular belief that it was the former residence of VLAD ȚEPEȘ the Impaler (Dracula).
      Located near BRAŞOV in the historical region TRANSYLVANIA, it is a national monument and one of the hotspots for Romanian tourism due to its antiquity, architectural value and its link with the fictional character of COUNT DRACULA imagined by the English writer BRAM STOKER.
    It was only inhabited permanently during 1920-1938, when it served as a summer residence for Queen MARIA of ROMANIA.
    Since 1956, it has been operating as a museum (Wikipedia).
