The Timanfaya National Park is located in the municipalities of Yaiza and Tinajo on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands. It was declared a National Park on August 9, 1974,2 making it the third protected natural area of the Canary Islands to hold the designation of National Park, as well as the first and only one of the entire Province of Las Palmas.
